“Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.” ― Muhammad Ali
Friends shape you, mold you, and help you grow. I owe so much of who I am today, to my friends. Old friends, new friends, lost friends, all have a special place in my heart. I am eternally grateful for old friends that have gotten me to this point, to the new friends that help me on my journey on a daily basis, and to lost friends for teaching me important life lessons.
I consider myself one of the lucky ones that still has deep, everlasting friendships from middle/high school. I think friends help define a person, and have such an influence on your future. It’s so important to pick wisely from early on! And let me just say…I picked perfectly. These girls are the strongest, funniest, most kind hearted women I know, and I am so proud to call them my best friends. I cannot thank all of them enough for the genuine conversations over the years, the laughs, and the love that we’ve shared. You know my deepest secrets, but love me anyways. You’ve allowed me to always be myself, which is what I love most.
And while my oldest, dearest friends have shaped me more than anyone, I would be totally and utterly lost without all the new friendships I’ve developed. From family that has turned into best friends, or other moms that just “get me” and my struggles, I am so incredibly thankful for you. You keep me sane on a daily basis, you are there to listen when I need to vent and you understand this phase of my life more than anyone ever could. I am so thankful you have allowed me into your life.
There is so much to be thankful for, but we so often forget!! Thank you to all my wonderful friends, old and new, for being so wonderful!!
